Home Health Nursing
Pediatric nurses provide intermittent home visits for skilled intervention and/or assessment of the physical, psychosocial, educational and environmental needs of the child with intervention and appropriate follow-up.
Types of nursing visits performed in the home:
- Well-baby checks
- Phototherapy for neonatal jaundice
- Enteral nutrition/formula and equipment (see service description below)
- Intravenous (IV)/infusion medications
Pharmaceutical Services
CHHC's pharmacy staff uses a full service approach to coordinate other home care services with infusion therapy. We coordinate medication deliveries, labs and dressing changes with nurses. We monitor labs and communicate with the physician(s) about the labs and any medication changes needed. We relay any changes needed to you the caregiver, and to the nurses taking care of the child.

Pediatric trained Respiratory Therapists provide patient/caregiver education, psychosocial support and physical assessment for pediatric patients that require specialized respiratory equipment and supplies.

Private Duty Nursing
Children's Home Healthcare's World
Children's Home Healthcare's World is a licensed respite and childcare center providing care to medically fragile and/or technologically dependent infants and children. The purpose of CHHC World is to provide center-based, skilled nursing care to medically fragile children as well as incorporating education, developmental and socialization skills to help these children reach their maximum potential. CHHC World is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The facility is staffed with pediatric-trained nurses, childcare partners, activities therapists, teachers and volunteers. Physical and occupational therapists, speech pathologists, social workers, child life specialists, chaplains and dieticians are available on a consultative basis.
In-Home Private Duty Nursing Services
Children's Home Healthcare has been providing in-home private duty nursing services since 1993. It is a service dedicated to caring for medically fragile and/or technologically dependent infants and children in their place of residence. Private duty nursing manages the child's complex care needs by working in partnership with the parent/caregivers and physicians caring for the child. The goal is to provide parents/caregivers the skills to manage their child's care while assisting them to meet their child's needs.

Home Enteral Nutrition Therapy
The goal of Enteral Therapy is to provide the child with adequate nutrition for growth and development and to effectively manage the nutritional needs of enteral patients and customers.
Admission Criteria and Follow-up Care
Patients and customers admitted to Children's Home Healthcare's enteral nutrition service will have appropriate follow-up training and nursing care based upon their individual needs and requirements. The Enteral Nutritional Team will monitor the patient and customers response to enteral nutrition and will communicate with the child's physician to enhance optimal nutritional support.
