After Surgery
After the surgery or procedure, your child will either return directly to the
C.A.R.E.S. Unit or go to the recovery room for a short time. If your child
receives a general anesthetic, he will be monitored closely by the nursing staff
in the recovery room. Your child will remain with the recovery room nurses until
he is awake, alert and comfortable. Your child will then be returned to his
room.
