Child Life Career Seminar
Child Life Career Seminar Are you interested in a future career in child life? Our career seminar provides the opportunity to learn all about the profession from a Certified Child Life Specialist. This free seminar is intended to be an introductory class for prospective students who are interested in becoming more knowledgeable about this field of work. Some key topics that we will be discussing are: development, play, preparation, distraction, and medical play. Student and volunteer opportunities will also be reviewed, followed by a tour of the hospital.
Dates of Upcoming Seminars: February 8, 2013 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. April 25, 2013 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. July 26, 2013 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. October 24, 2013 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Requirements: *Participants must be a minimum of a high school junior. *No professional credit hours will be given. *For the safety of the hospital patients we ask that if you have a fever, cough, sore throat, or any concerns that you might be sick that you inform staff upon arrival. You may be asked to wear a mask and or not be able to participate in the tour. *We reserve the right to adjust seminar information or to cancel based on number of attendants.
