Social Work Nursing Case Management Interpreting Services
Social Work The Social Work Department at Children's Hospital & Medical Center provides support for patients and families adjusting to illness. Services provided include:
- Supportive counseling
- Community referrals which may provide financial, legal or therapeutic aid
- Support groups for children with diabetes or cancer
- Support for parents of neonatal patients
Nursing Case Managers Nursing Case Managers work with physicians, parents and other healthcare team members to coordinate the plan of care during hospitalization and preparation for dismissal.
Interpreting Services Interpreting Services are available for hospitalized and clinic patients and include:
- Interpretation for foreign languages
- Interpretation for the deaf/hard of hearing
Children's Advocacy Team Children's Advocacy Team is a multidisciplinary team that identifies, assesses and refers suspected child abuse or neglect cases to appropriate legal authorities.
Outreach Provider Children's is a designated Outreach Provider, and can assist with applications for financial assistance from the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. These applications can be completed at the hospital.
