Grand Rounds

Grand Rounds Friday Mornings 8-9am Children's Hospital & Medical Center Continuing medical education is a high priority for those who work in the health care profession. One format used by Children's for educating physicians, students, residents and other medical professionals is Grand Rounds. Pediatric Grand Rounds are presented live each Friday morning At Children’s Hospital in the Glow auditorium on the 3rd floor. These programs are made available to view via our internet link. CME credit of 1 hour is approved for a time period of 1 year from the date of the presentation. Archived presentations may be viewed for content, but credit is not offered.

CME Credit

Grand Rounds CME credit is available and approved for programs presented within one year of today's date. "An Evidence Based Approach to Smoking Cessation for Pediatric Patients"

  1. Assess the adolescent for stages of change pertaining to smoking cessation objectives.
  2. Apply motivational interviewing skills during the adolescent patient interview to facilitate smoking cessation.
  3. Make evidence-based recommendations for nicotine replacement therapy and other pharmacologic therapies for adolescent patients in order to assist in smoking cessation.
