Special Event Guidelines

Children's Hospital & Medical Center Mission

"So that all children may have a better chance to live..."

Children's Hospital & Medical Center delivers extraordinary care to children,
educates health care professionals and promotes pediatric research.

Thank you for your interest in holding an event to benefit Children's Hospital & Medical Center. These guidelines have been prepared for individuals, organizations and other groups that would like to hold an event for Children's. Please note that we do not allow any announcements or publicity of any proposed event until the Children's Hospital & Medical Center Foundation has given its approval to hold the event.

The Children's Hospital & Medical Center Foundation has the right to approve those events that represent the Hospital appropriately, uphold the mission and image, and offer net proceeds or an acceptable percentage of net revenue to Children's Hospital & Medical Center Foundation. The completed Events Proposal Form must be submitted to Children's Hospital & Medical Center Foundation at least 30 days in advance of the event for timely consideration. Please note that all sanctioned fundraising events shall reflect a positive, family-oriented, healthful image on behalf of the event sponsor and Children's.

The use of the Children's Hospital & Medical Center logo and name may be used only after the event has been granted approval from the Children's Hospital & Medical Center Foundation. All printed materials and other publicity to be published with the Children's Hospital & Medical Center logo or name must be submitted for review and approval by an authorized representative of Children's Hospital & Medical Center Foundation prior to printing and distribution.

If you are considering collecting money at retail locations using canisters, please use only hospital-approved donations canisters. We ask that you provide a photo or sample of the proposed canister.

In naming the event, Children's Hospital & Medical Center should be used as the beneficiary of the net proceeds. For example: "The Race for Children, benefiting Children's Hospital & Medical Center." Children's reserves the right to approve any and all co-beneficiaries.

If an organization plans to solicit contributions, sponsorships or in-kind gifts from businesses, the list of potential business sponsors must be reviewed and approved by the Children's Hospital & Medical Center Foundation prior to approaching such sponsors.

Hospital representation may be available for the event; however, the request should be made well in advance of the event. Determination for representation or support will be determined upon availability, date of the event and past event success.

All net proceeds must be submitted to Children's Hospital & Medical Center Foundation within 45 days of the event. Funds should be made payable to and mailed to:

Children's Hospital & Medical Center Foundation
8401 West Dodge Road, Suite 160
Omaha, NE 68114

Children's Hospital & Medical Center Foundation does not release its mailing list to third-party organizations.

Approval to repeat an event must be requested each year from the Children's Hospital & Medical Center Foundation.
